Passing over the east coast of Ireland, sadly leaving for our short journey to London for our flight back to the USA
The approach to London
Roy, Kathy, Rainy & Ken. We met Ken & Rainy on a previous trip to Europe and they were kind enough to meet us at Heathrow airport where we had a farewell dinner. Kathy and I spent the night in the airport hotel before flying back to the USA the next morning. Nice one month visit, too short but we will be back .

Kathy & Bernie at the Willow House
This is where we stayed in a Dublin suburb called Drumcondra. The very nice lady that runs the B&B, Bernadette, makes a fantastic Irish breakfast every morning.

The famous St. Patrick's Cathedral and below is a photo of the really pretty mall in Dublin. Lots of glass and very airy.
Roy & Molly Malone. Remember the song about Molly?

Guinness is the national drink and all you have to do is say "I'll have a pint please" and it will be a Guinness

Kathy enjoys a Guinness
The most popular area of Dublin is Temple Bar
If you are in Dublin, this place cannot be missed. It is the most popular fish & chips place in Dublin, Leo Burdocks

It is the best fish & chips we ever had

You cannot go hungry in the Temple Bar district and definitely not thirsty

Just like London there are bars and pubs everywhere

Everywhere we have been in Europe we love to watch how the buildings become beautifully colorful as evening approaches
Most folks we talked to in Dublin did not care for this "work of art." Would make a nice radio tower though.

The Liffey River runs through Dublin
Ugh, what's up mate?

The Dubliner

Another shot of the Liffey
The Ha'Penny Bridge over the Liffey

If you click on this shot (to enlarge) you will see the building across the Liffey has Heineken written on it. When not in Dublin, and especially when in Amsterdam, that is my brewskie of choice.

O'Connell Street is the main drag on the North side of the Liffey

And don't forget to celebrate with lots of Guinness or Irish whiskey and corned beef and cabbage

At the top of the Guinness Brewery you can Quaff to your hearts content

Nice 360 degree view from atop the brewery
The Bad Ass Cafe

Lots of folks inhabit the Temple Bar area of Dublin but it is lots of fun anyway
The name of this place is "Booze 2 Go"
Even the hostels have names that make you thirsty
My home away from home
Now that would be a party!!!
Looks like good numbers to me. Anyone know how to open one of these?

Ooops, be careful where you park in Dublin.
A pub carwlers paradise.

One on each corner and lots inbetween.

We are loved everywhere, not!!

The only buildings that out number churches are the pubs!!!

Does that make all the tourist stuff bought here "Holy"?

Not sure if Dublin or London has more pubs. Guess we will have to try them all to figure it out :)

Looks like Kathy has been doing some shopping Irish style
