Nice reflection on the springs
You can climb this tower for a beautiful view of the springs
Looks like a bird tree
They like the view from up high
Ugly looking crab

Lots of fish on the springs

Kathy used to swim here, for less than a dollar, back in the 50's when the springs were privately owned. It was named Wall Springs due to the walls that were erected to form a swimming pool from the natural spring water. Now it is run by the county and they have turned it into a beautiful park, but swimming is no longer allowed.

The story of the sponge diving in Tarpon Springs (you can click on the photo to enlarge if you would like to read it)

One of the very colorful mosaics at Tarpon Springs
Natural sponges are for sale everywhere. When I first started coming here in the 60's the sponge divers would auction sponges to the highest bidder. Now the court yard where that took place is full of Greek shops

Tarpon Springs is a lovely Greek sponging and fishing village. Having spent 18 months on the island of Cyprus and later Kathy & I have visited Greece and the Greek Islands we have grown to love all things Greek, especially the food and there is no shortage of great Greek restaurants as you can see below.

This is one of our our favorites

Flaming Saganaki anyone?

Got together with some friends at the Wing House for some chow and lots of beers

This was our waitress at the Wing House. She took the picture (above) of the group. She had to stand on a bar stool to get the shot and we were all relieved that she did not fall off.

Our good buddy Stan got this photo from the back seat of our Jeep while we approached the Sunshine Skyway Bridge from the north

Kathy scrubs the roof of the motor home as we prepare to get on the road soon
